Philly Wizard World is coming

..and I'm happy to say I will have some new stuff to offer this year. Any other year that I went as a vendor I drew the usual that you would see at a comic convention: superheros, villains & video game characters. While I love those things too, it just felt like it wasn't me. This year I'll be putting my spine on famous canine characters that we know and love! I always appreciate suggestions! I'll also be doing doggy sketches :)

This is an example of what I've been working on:

2013 Endeavers

Hello all! It's been a little while since I'd posted last... this surely does not mean I hadn't been busy! The second generation of our very own Kippy Berryfoote will soon be available in full color! I redid the whole book and am much happier with it. Author Robert Lunsk and I are excited to get it out there. Here's a page from the book:

Since I primarily had been working alone since college, I found it hard to keep my enthusiasm up on a more consistent basis compared to how easy it was when you are surrounded by creative people. I recently decided to join the Burlington County Art Guild. It's really great! Every month there is a meeting with a featured artist doing a demo. It's incredibly inspiring! I'm also starting to enter shows and enter the Fine Art world starting with my pet portraits. I plan to get more illustrative as I go when it comes to the shows. But it is that time of year so there will be updates!

It's the Holiday Season...

Hey everyone! Hope you all had and are continuing to have a wonderful holiday season! I had a great time with my family, boyfriend and of course my dogs! Holiday pet portraits had officially come to a close but now with the near year approaching, I'm open and looking forward to doing much more! I'd like to experiment with some more illustrative portraiture for these guys! Also I'm hoping to get another book out this year so we'll see what 2013 brings!

"Your dog is aliiiive!"

I've always been a big Tim Burton fan and I have been waiting to see his new "Frankenweenie" for awhile! When I saw it, I honestly felt unlike anything I've ever felt before. The inspiration flowing through me was almost unbearable! I had to get to work right away! This is my version of the late, beloved Sparky. Combine my pet portraiture and spooky illustration :)

If you haven't seen the film, get in the Halloween spirit and check it out! Very worthwhile!

PET EXPO 7

The 7th annual Pet Expo was a great experience! It was my first public event showcasing my love for pet portraiture. I had always been interested in replicating animals on paper since I was a little girl. My childhood dog, Shep, was my muse for years and years! So needless to say, I've had a lot of practice! Here are some shots from the Expo. I did some short sketches of pets that were there and offered prints & business cards. I think it was a pretty successful day! Busy and fun!

If interested in a commission for the holidays, I'm accepting them until the first week of December, just to make sure they all get out in time. To inquire about pricing, you can always contact me at briellejwilson@gmail.com!
